My name is György Kovács.

I consider blacksmithing a truly fascinating craft, and I am constantly inspired by shaping hot steel into form.

My interest in forging began in childhood. That started as playful experimentation later developed into a serious passion. I learned the fundamentals of the craft from an experienced blacksmith and gained further knowledge in several well-known workshops.

I have set up my own workshop, and most of my tools have been – and continue to be – made by myself.

In 2025, I obtained a professional qualification as an ornamental blacksmith.

Hot forming as a technique offers countless possibilities. Home decor items, decorative objects, functional tools, and many other unique pieces can be created.
